Firstly, thank you to everyone for your kind words and support.  I can't tell you how much it means to me.

Secondly, I'm a big dope - a really, really big dope.  I meant to say when I'm leaving when I put up the Ode, because I knew the time zones would be confusing - me and time zones, so not mixy - and I wasn't actually leaving.  It was just that inspiration struck (or a mild case of perverted plagiarism, and so the post).  Put my muddle-headedness down to 4 seasons of Buffy in 2 days, a computer that is very wonky and unwell, which made me think about pulling out of my uni subject (is mostly an on-line subject), even after I got 80% for a speedily written essay, and general ongoing worry about my mum-in-law.

I head for Melbourne on Thursday, leaving 11am from my place, and arriving at the studio for makeup (Hee - that will be a major task!) etc etc at 5pm the same day.

Aust                    11am Thur                             5pm Thur

New York          11pm Wed                            3am Thur

Los Angeles         6pm Wed                             12pm Thur

Wellington NZ     1pm Thur                              7pm Thur

London               2am Thur                               8am Thur

Hope that helps.  Once again, thank you for your support - apart from my husband and son, and my good buddy who is currently digging up mummies in Chile, you guys are the only ones I've told, so I appreciate every word you send my way.

Very useful information - I'll be thinking of you when I get up on Thursday, and sending lots of lucky vibes your way.
Well, it looks like at the relevant times I'll be asleep or rushing around to get ready for my training course, so just in case things are quiet on the posting front tomorrow, I'll say "Break a leg" now. I'll be checking for posts on Friday to see if you got back okay and how things went. However the results turn out, though, I think you deserve a medal just for having the guts to get up there and do it.

BIG **Hug** for luck.
having the guts to get up there and do it
That's what my husband keeps telling me, that and it doesn't matter how I do, just the fact that I was selected, is enough. Plus a free trip to Melbourne!
Win, lose or draw, I KNOW you know enough that you're not going to stand up there and embarrass yourself, so just enjoy it as much as you can.

Hope you get some time to yourself in the city as well.
I'm actually meeting my LJ friend caraway_ for breakfast on the Fri (I fly out at midday) - apparently the hotel I'm staying at is on the 'foodie' street in St Kilda, and she knows where to get some scrumptious danish - it will be great to catch up with her then.
