RealVampiresDon'tSparkle by me

An Ode to The Einstein Factor

With massive apologies to John Denver.

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standing here outside my door
I hate to think how badly I’ll perform

But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn
The taxi's waiting, he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so fearful I could mourn.

Chorus:
So hug me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll cheer for me
Hope that I don’t get a really bad score.
I'm leavin' on a jet plane
I’m heading for the Einstein Factor game
Oh, friends, I’m really scared to go.

There's so many times I've forgotten the facts

So many times I've panicked all day
I tell you now, they don't mean a thing
Every place I go, I think of Buffy
Every song I sing, I sing for Spuffy
When I get there, I won’t remember a thing.

(Chorus)

Now the time has come to say goodbye
One more chance to pull out of this
Close your eyes, think of me in pain.
Dream about the days to come
When this is a memory past
About the times, I won't have to say,

(Chorus)

That is very clever! And so are you.... Best of luck my dear. I think you will do brilliantly. May devilish Spike sit on your shoulder and whisper the answers in your ear!
Thank you for your good luck wishes - I just keep telling myself it's just a bit of fun, but my tummy has butterflies - 2 more sleeps, and only 2 and half seasons left to watch - EEK!

Did you have a pleasant child free weekend (bet you missed them anyway)?
Not too sure about that (but at least I'm enjoying S4/S5 watching) - if I could bottle all of your enthusiasm for me, I'd be a shoe-in! Thanks for the good wishes.
I have spent a lot of time reading fic and sleeping. Badly needed the sleep. Had a good walk today and am off to get oysters and chips for tea!

Oh, so you're halfway through season 5 -- are you up to that gorgeous bit where Spike's practising his speech with the chocolates to the mannequin then loses his temper and kicks it; then puts it back together and starts again. Just brilliant. Wonder who wrote that episode.
That's sounds like a very pleasant way to spend a few days, tea sounds yummy.

Not up to there quite yet - could be "Triangle" the ep after Riley leaves - if so it was written by Jane Espenson, which would make sense.
Yeah, it must be just before Blood Ties when Spike actually turns up outside the house with the chocolates and has that very funny scene with Dawn, where he talks about lurking being a whole different vibe and shouldn't she be braiding hair and watching Teletubbies with her mates. Priceless. WHere did that gorgeous humour go?

I so enjoyed S4 again, it had some hilarious moments. S5 is just as good. I'm certainly not looking forward to the emotional quagmire of S6 - I doubt that I'll do all of it, too depressing.
I love the song.

So hug me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll cheer for me

I'll be doing all this and wishing you loads of luck too. Looking forward to finding out how it all went. ::hugs, smiles, cheers::
Thanks for the kind words of support. Of course you do realise if my LJ is suddenly deleted, I've bombed spectacularly and have crawled into a hole, never to be heard of again.
That's so cool.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll kick ass. Hee.
Hry, hon! I have every confidence that you're going to do great and I'll be cheering you on from the far side of the globe. And if your LJ disappears... then we've still got your email and we won't let you hide in that hole for too long.
Thanks for your cheering - would you believe it's a really big rock, no-one else has a rock that big!
Oh, thanks for the kind thoughts Jen, but I don't leave until Thurs morning (Fri your time???). I was struck by inspiration this morning, and the Ode was the result. ::mutter, mutter, knew I should have mentioned when I go, but I'm brain dead - 5 seasons in 2 days - WHOA!!::
