Uni stuff finished for the week, now onto inconsequential stuff ...

kassto - more Lost is on the way.

caraway_ - first four episodes of Veronica Mars are finally heading your way.

Now off to check out LJ. Re the following test results, I'm a little bit creeped out as well, and yes, I do own all 7 seasons of Buffy, and 5 seasons of Angel, and the unfortunately incomplete and only season of Firefly.

The One True Slayer
84 Bites of Slayage
Damn. Not only have you died twice doing what you do, but no one understands your burden and you find yourself disturbingly attracted to vampires. You are the ultimate repository of what it takes to be the Slayer, and no one can tell you otherwise. If you don't own all seven seasons on DVD, it's cause they haven't been released in your country yet. I am in total awe of you, and maybe just the tiniest bit creeped out.

My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 99% on bites

Thanks! You are a font of all good things!

And congratulations on getting the essay done.

I tried several times to do that quiz but it kept crashing me out of Internet Explorer. And it has some dodgy questions -- there was no correct answer for where Kendra was from, for example.

God, you own all the DVDs. All I've got is Buffy seasons 1, 2, 5 and 6, plus the first half of Angel season 3; plus the first half of Buffy season 4 on videotape.

So Veronica Mars is good, is it? I've started watching House here, which is a rather good US medical drama starring Hugh Laurie as a crippled, extremely grouchy and politically incorrect consultant.
The Kendra question was very dodgy, I always thought she came from Haiti, or the West Indies, or somewhere similar, not Africa.

Yes sadly I own all of those DVDs, but I always tell myself the excuse is that I need to have the entire tets if I'm going to do my honours thesis on Buffy - do you find that at all believable?

I have been enjoying Veronica Mars very much, and I have heard that House is very good - always liked Hugh Laurie, especially in Blackadder.
I'm almost positive that Kendra supposedly came from the West Indies. I'm not sure they ever specified on screen but I'm sure there's something about the actress having a dialect coach in one of the commentaries/interviews that was more precise. Haven't checked out the questions yet myself, though.
Somewhere on LJ someone mentioned Jamaica, and for whatever reason, that sounded right. I don't think it was ever actually mentioned in canon, but like you suggested, I'm sure that there is some comment on one of the dvd commentaries.
For the test nerd - I've put my answers up at my LJ, if you want to check out the answers I gave, you can find it here.
