Brief trip rundown

Day 1 - Great to catch up with mates BUT too many schooners of Tooheys Old, PLUS too many glasses of shiraz = massive hangover

Day 2 - My mother has elevated damning with faint praise to an Olympic level of achievement

Day 3 - Knees starting to groan from confinement in car.  Did check out my dad's memorial plaque at the Remembrance Garden in Canberra (photos to follow)

Day 4 - Very pleasant day (more photos on the way)

Day 5 - Home again, home again, jiggedy-jig.  Back to the dog and the kid (and my computer and my bed - YAY!).

ETA - DAY 40 of BM's holiday - I'm a little bit over it. Don''t get me wrong, I dearly love my husband, but enough of a good thing ... ... ... say no more. However, if I was to say more - there are elements of my life that I enjoy keeping to myself, and I don't need a frigging GHOST 24/7. That is all ?!?!?!?!?

Hi, you don't know me, but here I am commenting anyway.

I did the schools search and looked up my school(Henry Lawson) and you're listed under it. Are you from Grenfell? Because I am too :D

Briefly, a long, long time ago (back in the 70s - 1970s that is). I would imagine not much has changed about the old town. Weird how only HLHS came up, I'm sure I put down other schools.
No, other ones came up, I just meant you were the only person from THLHS who came up, heh.
Yeah, I'm in year 12 there now. My parents and some of my grandparents went to the school(which makes me sound completely inbred) and it's apparently changed heaps, but I can't really see it...
So yeah, heh, congrats on getting out of here.
I think getting out of there was one of my major achievements. Good luck to you for Year 12 and escaping Grenfell. There really is a world beyond. Enjoy finding it!
