It's finished!!

Essay done. 2170 words. Handed in 10 minutes before closing time. I'm stuffed. Eyes hurt. Hate annotated bibliographies, and footnotes. They are the devil's work. Give me MLA or Harvard referencing any day. Tired. Very tired. Never want to read anything more about water conservation and irrigation, and the role of government in water management infrastructure in New South Wales. Ever again. But ... ...

ONLY ONE SUBJECT TO GO. DOES DANCE OF JOY!!!

Roll on Autumn Semester 2006.
  • Current Mood: ecstatic ecstatic, if a little tired
Congratulations, honey! I'm sure you'll do wonderfully as always when the marks come back. I was going to say that Autumn Semester 2006 was a long way off, but then I remembered that would be Spring Semester over here. My brain is cabbaged.
Thank you kindly, whilst bowing in most humble attitude.

Congrats on your noms - very well deserved. You are one of the most under-appreciated writers in the Buffy fandom, in my opinion (I'm really old, netiquette stuff annoys me, but I can do it - IMHO, so there!! - I find it takes me just as long to do the abbreviated stuff as it would for me to type it out in full, and then check it over for spelling or grammatical errors ... the benefit (or detriment) of a fantastic English education. My mission for my time off - to seek out new award sites!!!!!!!
Thank you, honey! I have to say it's really nice being nommed but when I'm up against speakr2customrs for most humorous and my mate enigmatic_blue in quite a few of the others, and both her and your fellow Aussie alwaysjbj in best author, I really don't want to count my chickens. Plus, at the moment, some of the categories where I've been nominated don't actually have enough entries to be judged. Now, if I was really evil, I'd go check out ff.net and find the worst possible fics and nominate them to fill out the categories...

The thing is, I really don't mind when I lose to someone whose writing I like. Not to say that I'm not a little bit disappointed, but it's not so bad when I know that I've been beaten by something I might have voted for myself. I just feel very sorry for the poor sods who volunteer to judge these things snd then find out they have to read getting on for 300 chapters just for one entry.

As for seeking out awards sites, I think there was a new community started up recently to help keep track of them all, but I can't remamber where I read it other than somewhere on my FL a week or two ago...
Now, if I was really evil, I'd go check out ff.net and find the worst possible fics and nominate them to fill out the categories...

And I've been wondering how I shall fill my downtime ...
Again, I point out that that would be a BAD thing. The poor judges don't deserve that... but the thought is appreciated.
